Tomorrow's match will have the biggest attendance this year
What if all the predictions are against APOEL? So what if Gent find themselves with one foot in the Conference groups? So what if “blue and yellow” have never won and never knocked out a Belgian team?
The world of APOEL is not fazed by all this and proves it in practice, preparing another show at GSP. Tomorrow's game is expected to see this year's largest attendance (until the next one) at an APOEL home game. The fans of the “blue and yellow” heard the call of Ricardo Sa Pinto and are ready to “paint” the stands with bright orange and blue-yellow color. On Thursday night, more than 14 thousand APOELISTS are expected to be at the capital's stadium.
“We want a full stadium. All available seats must be filled. Only together we can do it for this and everyone must come to the field”, said Mr. Sa Pinto at the press conference.
From the first minutes after the conclusion of the match in Belgium, the Portuguese showed with the his statements that he believes very much in turning things around, transmitting this positive energy to the football players and to the world.
The world is definitely not playing ball. Ball will need to be played by the football players, who need to play their best game this year to be able to achieve the upset-qualification. But the world can give that little bit more to the APOEL players, making the Belgians feel uncomfortable and difficult (always in a sportsmanlike context) not from the 1st minute but from the warm-up.
