The engines are at full speed at APOEL in terms of planning ahead of the upcoming matches in the Champions League qualifiers.

Our champions will start from the 2nd qualifier and will be in the “strong” lottery. They will find out the pair from which their opponent will emerge (unless they are drawn with Jagiellonia) in the June 19 draw. The matches of the second qualifier will take place on July 23-24 and 30/31 of the same month.

As for Sarfo, the draw will reveal whether the Ghanaian can be counted on for the first away European game. The APOEL midfielder will not be able to travel to Estonia (Flora Tallinn), Romania (Steaua), Latvia (Riga) and Poland (Jagiellonia), as these countries are within the Schengen zone.

The 29-year-old ace will normally be counted for the first away match if APOEL is drawn with one of the remaining eight possible opponents, provided of course that there are no big surprises in the 1st qualifying matches.
