Strengthening the defense
Apollonas announced its agreement in principle with footballer Vernon De Marco until May 2026.
The Slovakian central defender originally from Argentina is expected in Cyprus on next days.

“Apollo Football (Public) Ltd announces the agreement in principle with the footballer Vernon De Marco until May 2026.
The Argentinian-Slovakian defender, born on November 18, 1992, started his career in the academies of CA San Lorenzo. He has played for teams such as MFK Zemplín Michalovce, ŠK Slovan Bratislava, Lech Poznań and most recently Hatta Club of the United Arab Emirates.
At international level, De Marco has played for the Slovakian national team. in 10 matches. He was part of Slovakia's squad in the final phase of EURO 2024, but did not make an appearance.
During his career, De Marko has won four Slovakian championships (Fortuna Liga) and three Slovakian Cups with ŠK Slovan Bratislava.
The footballer is expected in Cyprus in the next few days to go through the medical examination process and, subsequently, to finalize the agreement”.
