Snapshots… which in Cyprus at least you don't see every day
“Aman, what was that?”, many would exclaim after seeing the awesome actions of Hambou Kyriakou and Angelo Sagal in the derby with APOEL. The captain in a wonderful way “emptied” Dalcio in the center area, while in the last stages of the match, Sangal with a brilliant energy dribbled Petrović and went 4-on-4 with Belets.
Each of them gave those who saw the match two moments of “magic”, but unfortunately for the fans of the “blue and white” the specific phases did not bring the desired result, which was of course the goal. The Cypriot midfielder, after passing Dalcio, then saw an opposing player steal the ball, while the Chilean winger was finally “defeated” by Belets… in a moment (due to its timing) that was decisive for the final outcome of the match.
The essence was missing from the two footballers, who tried to do something wonderful, without, however, “finishing” the job. Even so, Hambos and Sagal sent (among others) the message that Vladan Milojevic can count on them a lot, after they got a positive sign in a match where his team generally did not satisfy. Apollonas showed several weaknesses against the “blue and yellow” of Nicosia and there is no question that in the derby with AEL he is called upon to present himself clearly improved.
