Bohdan Antone's focus next month
The holidays are over for the Apollon football players, who this week are “rolling up” their sleeves and getting to work with the aim of being ready by the start of the new season. Of course, the same applies to those who make up the technical staff, with everyone hoping for a competitive season… clearly better than the one the Limassol team had last year.
Bogdan Antone has shown that he is a very hard-working coach, who, apart from the tactical part of course, places special emphasis on how to get the best out of his players. Next month, the Romanian coach will try to prepare his players both in terms of physical condition and psychological, which for him is of great importance.
In addition, the Romanian coach will have the opportunity to evaluate all those who have a contract for the new year, with young and old passing through his microscope. In our previous report, we focused specifically on the cases of Psychas, Malekkidis and Pontikos, whose stay on the roster is questionable, however it is understood that they are not the only ones who will need to convince their “boss”! Everyone without exception will be asked to give their best in Platres and Slovakia (those selected to get on the plane), with the aim of sending the message that they deserve to be in the team next season.
At the same time, it can transfer plan at the moment provides for the acquisition of a left back and two wingers, however there are many conclusions that can be drawn in a summer preparation. For any reason (injury or a player not doing justice) the need for reinforcement may arise in a position that currently seems covered.
Preparation for a team means a lot or if preferred it is the A and Z as far as it's about laying the groundwork for a good year. All this is known very well by Mr. Antone and his colleagues, who already got to work.
