The Commissioner for Personal Data, Irini Loizidou Nicolaidis, spoke on the SIGMA show “Mesimeri and Something” about the granting of electoral rolls by the State to the Church on the occasion of the Archbishop's elections.

As she mentioned, her office received messages and phone calls from citizens, who asked whether the transfer of such personal data is permanent.
Ms. . Nicolaidis noted that "we judged the legality of this processing, the transfer of data which is justified and the list will not be granted as is".
Responsible in this process, he added, are the Ministry of the Interior and the Archdiocese, and that's where citizens can address their questions.
