Companies install photovoltaics and charge consumers additional money because they participate in the “Photovoltaics for All” project, the Director of the Consumer Protection Service of the Ministry of Energy, Konstantinos Karagiorgis, said on the program “DISTRIBUTING NEWS”, stressing at the same time that there are no additional charges.

According to a complaint that Mr. Karagiorgis has before him, a company charged a citizen 5,200 euros for the photovoltaic installation program, an additional 500-600 euros due to participation in the specific project + the VAT.

“We call on traders who follow these practices to differentiate them because otherwise we will think of other alternative forms of dealing with this situation”, said the Director of the Consumer Protection Service of the Ministry of Energy, while calling on consumers “when they find that there is this issue with the additional charge to reject the installer and go to another”.
