“This year my candles were three”
The Fifteenth of August is considered one of the biggest holidays of the Christian church and also the biggest Mother of God feast of the Orthodox calendar. It is a day dedicated to the Panagia.
Thousands of believers rushed to Megalochari of Tinos to thank her or to beg her for something miracle.
Among them, Argyro Rotsidou and Ethymios Diplaros, who managed to visit the Holy Temple for another year.
The wife of the deputy president of DISY, uploaded a video from inside the church, writing the following moving words:
“For another year we managed to come to Panagia of Tinos.
The obstacles until we come are many. We had reached the ship and I had lost my ticket but our faith and will were stronger!
This year my candles were three. One for me and my family, one for all the people who struggle and fight every day and one for all the children who fight with cancer.
August 15th is a unique experience. 🙏
May the Virgin Mary once again perform her miracle for the whole world”.
