The Police proceeded to arrest a 20-year-old man for illegal possession of drugs.
According to the Press Representative of ADE Paphos and Head of TAE Paphos Michalis Nikolaou at 02:30 while members of Paphos traffic officers were on patrol on Tafoi ton Vasileon Street when they noticed a vehicle being driven dangerously.
Mr. Nikolaou stated that the driver was signaled to stop, but he continued on his way, turning off his headlights. He also continued to drive dangerously recklessly on various roads.
He eventually ended up on Tombs of the Kings Avenue where at 02:35 he stopped on his own. As it was established, the vehicle was driven by a 20-year-old with an 18-year-old passenger.
He added that the 20-year-old driver underwent a breathalyzer test he reportedly had a reading of 21mg instead of 9mg and also tested positive for a drug test. During a check that was carried out, a bag of cannabis weighing 3.6 grams was found in the driver's possession.
He was arrested and after being taken to the YCAN Offices (Klimakio Paphos) he was charged in writing and released to be summoned later.
