The Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth announce the start of the application process for the granting of extraordinary financial support (lump sum) of € 1,500 to beneficiaries from the whole range of Arts and Culture in the context of measures to address the pandemic of the coronavirus.

Α . Beneficiary Applicants
Beneficiary applicants for special sponsorship are those who meet the following conditions:
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- They are professionals in the field of Culture and Arts in one or more of the fields of artistic activity, as described in paragraph B below and:
- have completely suspended their work in accordance with the Decrees of the Minister of Health and the relevant Decisions of the Council of Ministers which are posted on the website https://www.pio.gov.cy/coronavirus/ and the nature and / or the manner has not been differentiated their activation, or
- have suffered a significant reduction in their income and there has been no substantial change in their financial situation during the last three months (October-December) of 2020 and
- are not : (a) employees in the Public Service, the Education Service, the sub-governmental organizations and the wider Public sector, (b) have not received any allowance / sponsorship from the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Security under the contingency plans they had announced for the pandemic crisis in the last three months (October-December) of 2020, (c) do not receive a statutory Social Security pension, (d) do not receive a Minimum Guaranteed Income (EEI).
- They are Cypriot or other European Citizens and reside permanently in the areas controlled by the Republic of Cyprus.
Β . Field of artistic activity
- Letters and Literature (including Writers, Translators, Writers, Poets as well as the translation of literary works, such as novels, short stories, poetry, etc.).
- Visual Arts (including the specialties of Visual and Theoretical, Art Historical and Critics, Engravers, Painters, Sculptures, Graphic Designers, Illustrators, Exhibition Curators 3D Animators, Mapping / Visual Artists, Wire Sculpture Artist, Performance and Visual Artists, Fashion Visual Artists, Potters, Visual Artists / Voters, Ceramists, Puppet Artists, Visual Artists, Contemporary Art Jewelry Designers, Craftsmen and any other specialty is included as a new branch and is defined as new practices by the Schools of Fine Arts.
- Applied Arts (including the specialties of graphic designer, illustrator, photographer, video artist and animator)
- Theater (playwright, theatrical translator, director, set designer, costume designer, composer, choreographer / kinesiologist, actor, playwright, playwright, playwright, puppeteer, stage manager, musician, , tutorial, props master, set designer assistant, dresser, makeup / special effects makeup, special effects constructions, sound operator, sound engineer, sound engineer, multimedia operator, runner, animateur).
- Cinema, Television and Audiovisual Arts

- Music (including the specialties of composers, musicians, classical instrument performers, musicians of modern and traditional music, singers of modern, classical and traditional song, Live DJ, vocal teachers, music teachers, musicians, session musicians, performers, critics, classical music, Musical Theater Artists, ethnomusicologists, lyric singers, music teachers, organ players, sound engineers, music technologists).
- Dance (including the specialties of dancer, choreographer, performer, choreographer of modern, classical and traditional dance).
- Traditional Culture (such as clowns and other professionals).
- Other categories not listed above
C. Electronic Platform for submitting applications
Applications can be submitted on the special online platform https://eservices.moec.gov.cy/Politistikes/Chorigia-Technes-Politismos, which is available on the website of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth as explained below:
- Applicants who have already received the allowance in 2020
Those applicants who received the allowance in 2020 are automatically beneficiaries of the second allowance 2021, provided that they will apply through the online platform. It is clarified that the application details will be displayed pre-filled when the e-mail and password used to register on the platform are entered. In case there are any changes in the details of your application (eg IBAN number, telephone number, etc.) please modify them and submit the application.
- Applicants who had applied and had not received the allowance in 2020 .
Those applicants who had applied for the allowance in 2020 and did not receive it will have to re-apply through the online platform. It is clarified that the beneficiaries are those who comply with the terms and conditions, as described in Section A of this notice. It is stated that the application details will be displayed pre-filled when entering the email and password used to register on the platform. In case there are any changes in the details of your application (eg IBAN number, telephone number, etc.) please modify them and submit the application.
- Applicants applying for the first time .
Applicants applying for the first time should submit it through the online platform and are kindly requested to complete all the fields of the application. It is clarified that the beneficiaries are those who comply with the terms and conditions as described in Section A of this notice.
The platform will remain open until February 18, 2021 at 2pm.
In case the applicants have omitted or entered incorrect information in the electronic application for granting the above allowance (eg registration of incorrect ID number, IBAN, swift code, etc.), they can modify the details of the application through the online platform before the end of the application period. It is emphasized that, after the end of the application period, any modification of the application details will not be possible.
