More than 30% of normal for the month of November corresponds to the amount of precipitation that fell only in the last 24 hours (from 8.00 in the morning of November 7 until 8.00 in the morning of November 8) in the areas of Polis Chrysochous, Frenaros and New Port of Limassol, according to preliminary data of the Department of Meteorology released on Tuesday.
In total, average total amount of precipitation that fell in the free areas from November 1st until 8:00 am on November 8th amounted to 10.7 millimeters which corresponds to 20% of the normal for the month. The rains of the last 24 hours amounted to 8.7 millimeters.
Specifically, the largest amount of rainfall from November 1 until 8:00 in the morning of November 8 occurred in Polis Chrysochous with 26.0 millimeters corresponding to 40% of the normal for the month of November and is solely due to the rainfall of the last 24 hours.
Next is the New Port of Limassol with 16.6 millimeters of rainfall during the same period, an amount that corresponds to 34% of the normal and which is due in the rains of the last 24 hours, as well as in Frenaros with 15.4 millimeters which corresponds to 36% of normal.
