The “minimum wage setting” committee, which met again today to discuss setting a minimum wage in the occupied territories, decided unanimously that the net minimum wage is 6,090 TL (approximately 388 euros) and the gross wage is 7,000 TL (approximately 446 euros) according to “Kypris Postasi”, as broadcast by the Press and Information Office.
According to the newspaper, the employer side rejected the amount set as the minimum wage.
Speaking after the meeting, Ahmet Serdoglu, a spokesman for the Workers 'Party and “president” of the “workers' federation” (Hür-İş), said that the minimum wage set would take effect after ratification by the “cabinet”. .
