From Monday, July 12, at 10 in the morning, what is valid in relation to the crossings to and from the occupied areas will change, in the light of the new epidemiological data in Cyprus.
Specifically, according to a statement issued by the United Nations in Cyprus, on behalf of the bi-communal Technical Committee for Health, in the light of the epidemiological situation on the island, it is justified to invoke the emergency mechanism and proceed to level 3 (deep red) from Monday, July 12, at 10 in the morning.
The relevant rules for level 3 (deep red) are as follows:
Unvaccinated persons can pass the crossing points with a negative rapid test or PCR test for 72 hours (including unvaccinated workers and people with health problems)
Individuals who are fully vaccinated with vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) as well as the Sinovac, Sinopharm or Sputnik vaccines may have a negative rapid test or PCR test seven days after 14 days after receiving the final dose (1st dose for Johnson & Johnson vaccine)
Unvaccinated secondary school students and individuals residing in Kato Pyrgos may, for transit purposes, also undergo a seven-day rapid rapid test or PCR test.
