Attalidou and Gioliti crossed their swords on Twitter:

On the occasion of Adam McKay's “Don't Look Up” movie on Netflix, Alexandra Attalidou, an MP from the Ecologists 'Movement – Citizens' Cooperation, and former Justice Minister Emily Giolitis exchanged sharp comments on Twitter.

“You are worried but at the same time you accepted an award from America as a self-proclaimed observer of world morals and transparency (and AKEL applauds),” Emily Gioliti wrote on twitter, commenting on an earlier post by the Oikol Movement MP.

The tweet of the former Minister of Justice provoked the reaction of Alexandra Attalidou, who replied:

“Better hold on to your instructions, Ms. Giolitis!

1️. You do not have the good testimony from outside that the role you want to take requires.

2️. I was not a member of this government!

3️. I was not selling services and passports!

4️. “They did not break the heads of protesters during my ministry!”

Mrs. Giolitis's answer to the MP of Ecologists was immediate:

“Mrs. Attalidou, you are an MP from Cyprus and you accepted a moral award from a third country. Not from Transparency International or any other relevant body. The king rewards the natives and they rejoice “.
