A 38-year-old man was handcuffed by the Police this morning, according to police information, regarding the case of attempted murder last night.

According to the same information, the suspect went to the taxi office because previously the owner of the premises had a fight with his brother and wanted to clean for him.

The 38-year-old is expected to be taken to the offices of TAE Limassol for questioning.

It is recalled that it was shortly after three in the morning that the 47-year-old went to a taxi office located on Makariou Avenue in Limassol, to visit a friend who works there. While standing outside the office lobby, he heard a car engine being marched on. He then found that a Mitsubishi Pajero was ten feet in front of the desk.

At that moment, the driver of the vehicle developed speed and hit the 47-year-old, as a result of which he fell to the ground and was injured.

The driver of the vehicle continued, hitting the glass showcase of the office lobby, dragging various office furniture and equipment and causing damage.

The perpetrator then left the scene.

The 47-year-old was taken to Limassol General Hospital where he was found to have suffered multiple leg fractures.
