In a written statement, George Savvidis notes that the Attorney General of the Republic, in the exercise of the powers provided to him by the relevant legislation, as well as at his discretion, decided to determine the compensation of the Chairman and Members of the Investigative Committee. appointed taking into account the seriousness and length of the work that the Commission was called upon to undertake.
According to him, he then addressed the Ministry of Finance requesting that a proposal be forwarded to the Council of Ministers for approval and securing the necessary appropriations.
“It is obvious that this Ministerial Decision is a result of the above suggestion of the Attorney General of the Republic”, concludes Mr. Savvidis.
