The President of the Democratic Alarm, Mr. Averof Neophytou, accompanied by the Secretary of International Relations of the faction, Mr. George Hadjigeorgiou, received today at the party offices the High Commissioner of the United Kingdom, Mr. Stephen Lillie, and the Ambassador of Russia, Mr. Osad Stanch.
The resumption of the dialogue to resolve our national issue was at the center of today's meetings of the President of the Democratic Alarm.
Mr. Neophytou reiterated our side's willingness to resume dialogue on the agreed basis of solution and those provided for in the UN Security Council resolutions, but also that the position of Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot leadership on sovereign equality as a prerequisite for the resumption of dialogue.
The President of the Democratic Alarm will continue his contacts with Ambassadors in the immediate future.
