Bank of Cyprus and Printec insurance agreement for the implementation of electronic signature

    Eurolife and General Insurances benefit from a service that will cover all needs for the electronic identification and signing of documents

    The insurance company Eurolife, General Insurances, the country's insurance company in the general sector and the Printec Group, a provider in the field of technology automation transactionswith a presence in Central and Eastern Europe, signed a five-year strategic cooperation agreement for the implementation of the electronic signature in the two insurance companies.

    As stated in an announcement, this project, whose technical implementation has been completed, aims to providing a comprehensive solution for the electronic identification and signing of documents, ensuring full data security in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

    “The need to minimize manual tasks and overall process steps by employees as well as digitize and improve the process and customer experience was of utmost importance,” it states.

    Eurolife and General Insurers benefit from a service that will cover all needs for electronic identification and signing of documents, while at the same time customers will enjoy the most advanced digital services, it is noted.

    Through Printec's electronic signature program, Bank of Cyprus insurance companies will now be able to offer their customers an efficient and secure digital signature process. The electronic identification and document signing project was put into production in November 2023 and integrated into all new work processes with the aim of soon expanding to other company processes.

    The Chief Information Officer of the insurance companies, Evangelos Monochristou, stated that “Bank of Cyprus insurance companies are leading the way once again and incorporating technologies that provide a high level of security and an improved user experience for our customers. At the same time, we are almost completely automating our internal processes and significantly reducing the processing time required. With the cooperation of Printec, a complex project was implemented with complete success, achieving all the goals that had been set”, he said.

    Maria Loupi, Country Manager of Printec Cyprus stated that “the electronic identification and signature documents will not only improve the security, efficiency and data processing of insurance companies, but at the same time will offer an improved digital experience to end users. Such partnerships strengthen our commitment to offer innovative, efficient and integrated solutions that meet the modern needs of businesses”, he noted.
