During the trip, the president of DISY was accompanied by his wife Maria Selipa, who had a private meeting with the wife of the Greek Prime Minister, Mareva Grabovski-Mitsotaki.

At the same time, Averof Neophytou informed the Greek Prime Minister about his decision to claim the office of President of the Republic of Cyprus. Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed his support for Mr. Neophytou. “I want you to know that we are by your side and I wholeheartedly wish you good strength in the race you are just starting,” he noted, welcoming Mr. Neophytou.

For his part, Mr. Neophytou stressed that the spectacular progress in all sectors in Greece, as a result of Mr. Mitsotakis's policies, restored credibility in the country. “Thank you twice, because a strong Greece, which was and remains the selfless support of Cyprus, you are helping Cyprus. And thank you for everything you do for our national cause. “Always be strong for an even stronger Greece and a stronger Cyprus”, he added.

In statements to journalists after the meeting with the Greek Prime Minister, Mr. Neophytou noted that he thanked Mr. Mitsotakis for Greece's support in our national cause. “At the same time, the spectacular progress of Greece at all levels, its credibility that has restored national dignity strengthens the national security that every Cypriot feels. The relations between the two countries can help at European level and the geostrategies of the region. Karoyan: We left the summers and we are moaning
