Bloomberg: σοεεεεσγ ;or σοδο του Metals aims to list on the London Stock Exchange in the first quarter of next year, according to a source cited by Bloomberg, potentially speeding up the timetable.</p> <p>The London-listed company plans to file for a London listing by the end of this year, according to the source, who asked not to be named. She said that discussions are ongoing and no final decision has been made. However, Metlen declined to comment on the timing.</p> <p>Metlen's move could help improve London's position in the financial world as in previous years powerful groups moved to New York, according to Bloomberg. </p> <p>As Bloomberg reports, Metlen is the second largest producer and supplier of electricity in Greece, with an international portfolio of renewable energy projects of more than 11.9 gigawatts. It also trades and supplies natural gas and operates the only vertically integrated bauxite, alumina and primary aluminum business in the entire European Union.</p> <p>Metlen said in April it was considering an international listing, including on the London Stock Exchange, within the next 12 to 18 months, given its “increasingly diversified geographic presence”. The company plans to maintain its presence on the Athens Stock Exchange, where it has been listed since 1995. Citigroup and Morgan Stanley are the financial advisors on Metlen's strategic review.</p> <p>Chairman and CEO Evangelos Mytilineos is also president of Eurometaux, the European association for non-ferrous metals.
