At the event for this year's 10th Business Leader Awards of the KEBE, on Monday, October 30, the co-presidents of the Leptos Group, George and Pantelis Leptos, were honored with the acclaimed Business Award Leader Award. The award, for their overall contribution in the field of Land Development, Real Estate and Construction, was awarded by the Minister of the Interior, Konstantinos Ioannou, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis.
The selection – award by the KEBE was made considering the work and the business course of the two brothers, which is characterized by the pioneering, foresight and dedication to the development of the Leptos Group and, more broadly, of its fields of activity.
Georgos and Pantelis Leptos were born in Kyrenia in 1963 and 1964 respectively. After the Turkish invasion, they lived their childhood in Athens and then studied in the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
In 1987 they settled in Paphos, which had now become the business center of the Leptos Group. Since their inception, their contribution to the tourism and construction industry has been significant. Gradually, the Group's activities became strongly extroverted and went beyond the borders of Cyprus, with a strong presence also in the Greek market where large projects are being developed. It is typical that today the Leptos Group has a presence in 70 countries, projecting internationally the modern image of a dynamic Cyprus.
Yorgos Leptos is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pandora Public Investments Ltd, the University of Neapolis and the Hospital Iasis and Executive Chairman or Vice Chairman of the Boards of other companies of the Group. He was for six years President of the EBE Paphos and the Paphos Tourism Development Company. He then served as Vice-President of the KEBE.
Pantelis Leptos is also Chairman of the Board of the Public Company “Leptos Calypso Hotels Ltd”, Vice Chairman of the Board of the Public Company “Pandora Investments Public Ltd”, while he also serves as chairman and member of the Board of Directors of several companies. He is also Honorary Chairman of the Board of the Pancypriot Association of Land and Building Development Entrepreneurs and Honorary Consul of Jamaica in Cyprus.
Today, he is a member of KEBE, EBE Paphos, Association of Major Developments, Cyprus- Jordanian and Cyprus-Saudi Business Association.
Both the Leptos Group and Giorgos and Pantelis Leptos have been honored with many international and Cypriot awards for their contribution and business activity. Regarding their award from the KEBE, as they emphasized, “this reflects the hard work, trust and dedication of the employees of the Leptos Group in the implementation of its business development strategy”.
< p>Today the Leptos Group of Companies counts more than 350 projects, with emblematic projects such as Limassol DelMar, Kamares Village and the under construction Limassol BluMarine. At the same time, it is active in the fields of tourism with Leptos Calypso Hotels, education with Neapolis Paphos University and health with Iasis Hospital.
