A written statement was issued by the Deputy Government Spokeswoman Niovi Parisinou on the decisions of the Council of Ministers.
According to Ms. Parisinou, today, during the session, it was decided to reduce the self-limitation period from 14 to 10 days, for people who are close contacts of a confirmed positive COVID-19 incident and who, according to the protocol, are obliged to limit themselves.
The decision enters into force on January 24, 2022. Release earlier than 10 days can be done by PCR laboratory test with a negative result on the 7th day after contact or later at your own expense.
In addition, the Council of Ministers approved the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Cyprus and the Ministry of Health of Greece. The Memorandum concerns, among other things, the exchange of good practices and know-how, with the aim of upgrading the primary health services of the two countries.
