Castell didn't score a goal last year, but in the past they did much better
Sergio Castel made a promising start to his career at Anorthosis, as the Spanish forward scored four goals in the first seven league matches. Even if it is early, it is a given that this year will be better than last year for him (at least on an individual level) due to the fact that he had to find networks for more than twelve months.
Nevertheless, in the past he had some very remarkable years, which he “hunts” with the jersey of the refugee association. His most productive season came in the 2021-2022 season when playing in his country's second division with Ibiza in a total of 32 appearances he scored nine goals, sharing five more. In other words, he was directly involved in 14 goals.
However, it is worth noting that his performances in the first seven matches this year are better compared to how he started then, when in the corresponding period he was directly involved in four goals ( 3 goals and 1 assist), compared to five this year (4 goals and 1 assist). In doing so, he equaled the performance he did in the same period at the Indian courts in the 2019-2020 season. In the first seven league games he had scored five goals (with no assists) before an injury sidelined him for around two months.
His most productive start came in the 2018-2019 season when scored six goals in the first seven games, with San Sebastian de los Reyes in Spain's third division. As you can imagine, the year he left us was not the norm for Castel, who at the age of 28 has scored 46 career goals and hopes that by competing in the “Lady” he will significantly increase this number.
