Both lanes are closed on the Nicosia-Limassol highway, in the direction of Limassol, at the height of Mouttagiaka, due to a traffic collision between ten vehicles, which occurred around 4.30 on Tuesday afternoon. At the point of collision, there is a traffic jam, which is channeled through the road safety lane.
As a precaution, three people were picked up and transported by ambulance to the Limassol General Hospital for medical examinations, while members of the Police are at the scene for examinations, traffic regulation and assistance to the public.
Passing drivers are encouraged to drive at a safe, low speed, to keep a safe distance from oncoming vehicles and to follow the instructions of the members of the Police who are in the area.
Alternatively, passing drivers can exit the highway from the previous exits to Agios Tychonas and Amathus.
