Total deposits in April 2023 recorded a net decrease of €173.3m, compared to a net increase of €59.8m in March 2023, the Central Bank of Cyprus reports.< /p>
The CBC published on Tuesday the statistics of deposits and loans of MFIs with a reference month of April 2023, which are included in the Monetary and Financial Statistics, May 2023 edition.
According to the announcement , total deposits in April 2023 recorded a net decrease of €173.3 million, compared to a net increase of €59.8 million in March 2023. The annual rate of change reached 1.9%, compared to 2, 6% in March 2023. The balance of deposits in April 2023 reached €51.6 billion
Total loans in April 2023 recorded a net decrease of €130.9 million, compared to a net an increase of €41.9m in March 2023. The annual rate of change reached -1.3%, compared to -0.5% in March 2023. The balance of total loans in April 2023 reached €24, 9 billion, the announcement concludes.
