In view of the forthcoming new restrictive measures, the Executive Committee of the CCCI met today extraordinarily and examined the very serious situation that is being created. It is the belief of the CCCI, notes the announcement that the businesses and the economy of the place are on the brink of collapse and the endurance has really been exhausted.
While they add that we do not disagree with the usefulness of well-performed antigen tests, we believe that the only radical solution to the pandemic problem is vaccinations.
They note: “We therefore urge the government to take urgent action to ensure that as many vaccines as possible (in addition to those provided through the European Union) are provided to enable a significant part of the population to be vaccinated as soon as possible.”
“At the same time, we call on the government to ensure that when announcing the new restrictive measures, as many companies as possible remain open so that they do not lead to complete destruction and that the state finances can cope. “It goes without saying that all businesses that remain open should strictly follow all health protocols.”
Finally, the CCCI emphasizes in its announcement that the moments are really critical and we must all assume our responsibilities to save our place.
