The Police made 140 complaints of citizens and 2 premises for violation of the measures against the spread of the coronavirus yesterday, on the day of the Epiphany, the Police.
A representative of the Police stated to KYPE that the Force carried out the last 24 hours that ended at 06:00 in the morning, carried out 5,428 checks in free Cyprus. The total inspections also include inspections in churches due to the Epiphanies.
According to the Police, in Nicosia 1,929 checks were carried out with 23 complaints of citizens, in Limassol 622 checks were carried out with 55 complaints of citizens and 2 premises and in Larnaca 31 complaints of citizens were made after 1,272 checks
In Paphos, 751 checks were carried out with 15 complaints of citizens, in Famagusta 604 checks were carried out with 7 complaints of citizens and in Morphou 9 citizens were reported after 232 checks.
Finally, 18 checks were carried out by the Port Police without any complaints.
