The “light brigade” that defeated AEK 2-0 continues from where it left off last year. “Alfamega” is inhospitable for AEK, which starts the championship with a defeat.
Part A
The football players of the two teams entered the “Alfamega” pitch with enough desire to attack. The first goal in the match was scored by AEK after a mistake by Musuda, Lopes took the ball and made a pass but saw the ball go past Vana Alves' goal.
The defensive function of the footballers of Oltra was quite good in the first twenty minutes as the attackers of Aris could not in any way become threatening.
Nevertheless, at the end of the first half hour, Modnor, with a nice individual energy completely unmarked, made the shot and defeated Piric, opening the score of the match. The AEK goalkeeper is responsible for the goal he conceded as he did not calculate the ball correctly.
The AEK players tried to react after the goal and mainly from the right with Sanchez but they did not arrive with claims in his area Mars.
This was also the halftime score with Aris going to the locker room leading 1-0.
B Part
The second half started identically to the first. Aris had possession of the ball and with its fast footballers tried to threaten in the first minutes.
However, the first goal of the second half belonged to AEK in the 53rd minute with Giurtso from the right making the turn to untroubled Pons but did not find the ball as he would have liked.
As time passed, AEK became more threatening and in the 66th minute they missed a great opportunity to equalize. Gourcho again made the turn with Sol taking the shot and Vana Alves making a difficult save. The AEK players asked for a penalty at the beginning of the phase for Kazou's hand, but after a VAR check, the referee continued the match.
After Spilefski's changes, Aris managed the match well in the following minutes. While the AEK footballers were taking measures, the footballers of the “light brigade” found plenty of space and mainly with counter-attacks they were looking for a second goal.
In the 88th minute, after an exemplary counter-attack, the Aris footballers cooperated wonderfully and with a final receiving Spoliaric who made the pass and beat Piric “sealed” the victory for his team.
Aris almost scored a third goal with Struski in the 83rd minute making the shot but the ball passing by Piric's goal.
Nothing changed until the referee's final whistle with Aris making a winning kick in the championship and AEK causing problems again.
