The President of the Parliament will be claimed by the President of the Movement of Ecologists – Citizens' Cooperation Charalambos Theopemptou, according to a decision taken by the Movement last night.
As Mr. Theopemptou stated in KYPE, despite the decision, consultations will be held with other parties for other options, since the process of electing the Speaker of Parliament forces the parties to know what they will do in the second and third ballot.
At the same time, Mr. Theopemptou stated that the Movement rules out cooperation with ELAM and EDEK on the issue.

The processes of the parties for the evaluation of the election result and the election of the next Speaker of the Parliament have started and continue with intensive rhythms in the following days.
According to the Parliamentary Representative of DISY Nikos Tornaritis, the Politburo of DISY will meet this afternoon or tomorrow to discuss the issue of the Presidency of the Parliament, without any possibility being ruled out.

From 11 the Parliamentary Group of DIKO meets for a first discussion regarding the issue of the Presidency of the new Parliament. As KYPE is informed, all possibilities are on the table, with the exception of the cooperation with ELAM.
