Weak low pressure affects the area. This morning, periods of sunshine will alternate with periods of increased cloudiness, which mainly after noon is expected to give isolated rain in places, and on the highest peaks of Troodos possible temporary sleet or even light snow. In the atmosphere it is possible to observe thin dust from time to time, which however gradually recedes. Winds will blow in the morning mainly northeast to southeast and locally variable, weak, 3 Beaufort to become after noon southeast to southwest and locally to northwest, of the same intensity. The sea will be somewhat rough. The temperature will rise to around 20 degrees inland and on the coasts and around 8 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, it will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers expected from late evening onwards, mainly in the west, north and east. Winds will be northwest to northeast and locally variable, light, 3 Beaufort and the sea will be calm to a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 10 degrees in the interior, around 11 on the southern and eastern coasts, around 12 on the rest of the coast and around 3 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost is expected to form.
The Sunday, Christmas Day, the weather will be partly cloudy and mostly cloudy in places. In the morning, local rains are expected mainly in the west and in the north, while in the afternoon and afternoon local rains and a very possible isolated storm are expected to affect mainly the eastern half of the island. In the higher mountains, sleet or even snow is likely to fall.
