He added that if a solution is found with the contractor, it will be easier for him to cope with the completion of the project, while if ETYFA undertakes it, it will take more time.

According to the dialogue, with regard to Vasilikos unit 6, Mr. Petrou mentioned that it is not even ready and how it can only operate with natural gas. If the FA comes, he explained, the unit will be ready for trial operation for a period of 6 to 12 months.

He pointed out that the contractors of unit 6 also have the obligation to put it into operation.

For energy storage, Mr. Petrou said that CERA requested some additional studies. He added that tomorrow morning, in a meeting with CERA, it will be discussed which permits are needed to store energy from renewable energy sources. to do with the offers.

On the subject of smart meters, the chairman of the EAC Board of Directors said that this was delayed for 22 months due to appeals from bidders, which is why the Authority announced a new tender.
