In the last 24 hours, the Police proceeded with 203 complaints of citizens for violation of the measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus disease.
In his statements to KYPE, a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated that from 6.00 on Wednesday morning until 6.00 am today, 14,207 checks were carried out.
In terms of provincial inspections, 3,874 inspections were carried out in Nicosia and 45 complaints were received, in Limassol 2,590 inspections were carried out with 73 complaints, in Larnaca 2,371 inspections were carried out with 40 complaints, in Paphos 1,481 inspections were carried out with 22 complaints, in Amos 1,586 inspections were carried out with 18 complaints from citizens and 1,033 inspections were carried out in the area of Morfos without any complaints.
Also, the Cypriot Traffic Police carried out 1,156 inspections, from which 5 complaints of citizens emerged.
Of the 14,207 inspections, 116 concerned the Port and Maritime Police. The audits did not reveal any violations.
