The Department of Urban Planning and Housing of the Ministry of Interior announces that today a contract was signed for the repair of buildings of the Government Settlement Strovolos II, in Nicosia.
The Contract was signed by its Director Department of Urban Planning and Housing, Mr. Kyriakos Koundouros and the Director of the Contracting Company A. Aristotelous Construction Ltd Mr. Aristotelis Aristotelous, on behalf of the Contractor Company. The amount of the contract amounts to € 2,688,000.00 plus VAT
The works of the contract concern the repair of 96 houses, 13 ground floors and 83 two-storey buildings and are expected to be completed in a period of 22 months. The repair of these houses is done in the framework of the program “Reconstruction, Repair/Enhancement and radical improvement of houses and apartment buildings of Government Settlements”. Within the framework of the same program, the reconstruction of two apartment buildings in the Government Settlement “Strovolos II” is also in progress, as well as the repair of seven apartment buildings in the Government Settlement “Agios Mamas”, with a total value of € 4.2 million.
In addition, a tender announcement process is underway for the repair of 50 houses in the Government Settlement “Agios Mamas”, with an estimated implementation cost of € 2.4 million.
