Contracts for four new residences for supported living of people with disabilities were signed by the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance.
As stated in its announcement, in the context of the Government's policy and the proposals of the Ministry of Labor for the creation of new supported housing, where people with disabilities will enjoy a safe, decent and quality living with the necessary support services in care, communication , entertainment, skills development and socialization, announces the successful completion of a public tender and the award to contractors of the creation of four more homes, in addition to the seven that have already been operational since 2020.
Contracts for the creation of a house in Larnaca for 5 people with mental disabilities and three houses for a total of 8 people with autism in Limassol, were signed on Friday 26.2.2021 by the Department of Social Integration of People with Disabilities of the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance.
The project “Creation of Housing / Supported Living Programs” is co-financed by the European Social Fund and has already been approved for further expansion in the new programming period 2021-2027, serving the rights of one of the most vulnerable groups of our population.
