Another coronavirus vaccine in the European Union.
The European Union expects Johnson & Johnson to deliver the first doses of its Covid-19 vaccine in April, following approval by the European Medicines Agency, a senior European official told Reuters on Wednesday (13/1).
The official, who is involved in negotiations with the manufacturers and spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the J&J vaccine, which is given in a single dose, could be available from April 1.
Earlier on Wednesday, a MEP said EU Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakidou had said during a parliamentary session that Johnson & Johnson was likely to apply to the European Medicines Agency for approval of the vaccine in February.
