The Council of Ministers at its session yesterday decided the appointment of Mr. Alexandros N. Zenon, former Ambassador and Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the position of Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat for the Tripartite Mechanisms of Cooperation with countries in the region.
Decided, as mentioned in a relevant announcement, also the appointment of Mr. Mina Hadjimichael, former Ambassador and Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Personal Representative of the President of the Republic to the Permanent Council of the International Organization of the Francophonie. Zenon and Hadjimichael will provide their services unpaid and their term expires on February 28, 2023, at the end of the term of the current government, with the consent of the Legal Service. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its warm and sincere thanks to the outgoing representative of the President of the Republic to the Permanent Council of the International Organization of the Francophonie, Andreas Pirissi, who worked diligently and professionally to fulfill his mission.
