A written statement was issued by the Deputy Government Spokeswoman Niovi Parisinou regarding the current decisions of the Council of Ministers

What did the minister decide:

The Council of Ministers met today under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis. The following decisions were taken:

The Council of Ministers, due to the unfavorable weather conditions, approved the granting of a one-time emergency aid to all residents of mountainous areas with an altitude of more than 600m. The emergency allowance will be equal to 50% of the amount already granted to them in 2021. The beneficiaries of the financial assistance amount to 19 thousand coming from 7,500 households in 110 communities. The necessary credits amount to € 2.1 million.

The Council of Ministers approved the amendment of the General Development Decree on Urban Planning and Spatial Planning 2003-2021 in such a way as to allow the installation of recharging points for electric vehicles at existing petrol stations, without the need to obtain a planning permit.

The Council of Ministers was informed about the implementation report of the 2nd National Action Plan for Disability 2018-2020 and approved the 3rd National Action Plan for Disability for the years 2021-2023. The National Action Plan includes 135 actions (58 new and 77 ongoing) that will be implemented by 8 Ministries and 3 Undersecretaries.

The Council of Ministers has authorized the Minister of Finance to withdraw the regulations for the official vehicles of state officials that were recently submitted to the Parliament. This decision was taken after a proposal by the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis.
