Courteney Cox has opened up about her experience with menopause in a hilarious and nostalgic way. The Friends actress shared a video on Instagram using clips from a Tampax tampon commercial she starred in during the '80s to highlight her current experiences with menopause. While the topic is serious and not often discussed publicly, Cox flipped the script with her trademark humor in a post that has garnered nearly 900,000 likes and more than 15,000 comments.
'My ad needed a refresh' , he writes in the caption. The original ad features a young Cox wearing full '80s workout attire, including tights and leg warmers. She shakes her short, feathered hair as she discusses the benefits of using tampons during menstruation. It's interspersed with new clips created by the modern-day Cox, in which she discusses the pitfalls of menopause alongside outdated advertising.

In an outfit similar to the one she wore decades ago, Courteney speaks to the camera, saying, “Has menopause completely changed your life?” she asks, projecting symptoms like hot flashes, dry skin and bald patches. “Let me tell you straight. Menopause will eat you alive. It's horrible.”
Fans and fellow celebrities flooded the comments with messages of support. Juliette Lewis responded with a series of clapping heart emojis and Leslie Mann added a series of laughing crying emojis. “Lolololol,” wrote Jonathan Van Ness. “This is one of my favorites,” Drew Barrymore said. Brandie Carlile summed it up best, writing, “Ok, you beat the internet today, Courteney.”
