A large industrial zone received the green light from the Environmental Authority to be created within the municipal boundaries of the Municipality of Lakatamia in an area adjacent to Nıcosıa Mall and Pascal.
Detailed description and location of the Project
The proposed project is located in the Municipality of Lakatamia in the province of Nicosia. The development area of the project consists of the elements F / Fig. 30 / 03E1 with plots 3491 and 3492 and a total area of 495,740 sq.m. Block 3492 is crossed by a public path. In addition, within this plot and in a small part of plot 3491, there are defense projects of the National Guard. On the north side of block 3491, part of the Nicosia-Astromeritis highway is adjacent, but there is a protective strip and a dividing wire fence.

Around the area there are constructed sidewalks and a bike path. On the north side and at a distance of 500 m within the dead zone is located the abandoned airport of Nicosia. To the northwest of the area and at a distance of 100 meters is the shopping center “Nicosia Mall” while at 400 m in the same direction is the private school “Pascal Education”. In the opposite direction at 600 m operated the store “Homemate”
The plot 3492 belongs entirely to the Industrial Zone of Category B & Economic activities (Ba3 / BE1). Block 3491 belongs to a Motorway Zone with a small section within the Industrial Zone of Category B & Economic activities (Ba3 / BE1) and a smaller section to fall within an Airway Protection Zone (Da3a). The plots are intended for industrial use.
In block 3492 there is a big altitude difference. Slots pass through block 3492. Inside block 3492 there are about 260 cypresses while in block 3491 there are several acacias.
