October 12, 2023 – Larnaca, Cyprus. Cyprus Airways announces the temporary suspension of the Larnaca-Tel Aviv route with immediate effect. Cyprus Airways flight CY311 landed at Larnaca International Airport at 16:10 today, making it the company's last flight on this route until further notice.
Paul Sies, the company's CEO, noted: “Cyprus Airways is an airline that is an integral part of our society, carrying not only the flag of Cyprus, but also its heart and spirit. The company also has deep-rooted ties with Israeli society. The decision to suspend our Larnaca-Tel Aviv route was not taken lightly. Safety has been and will always be our highest priority. We stand in solidarity with all those affected and will do our best to resume our operation when conditions permit”.
We will contact our passengers who have existing reservations on the Larnaca-Tel Aviv route and vice versa in the coming days to inform them of their options.
