Cyprus and the United Arab Emirates signed a bilateral defense cooperation program

Bilateral Defense Cooperation Program for the year 2024

The Bilateral Defense Cooperation Program (PDAS) for the year 2024, between the National Guard and of the Armed Forces (ED) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was signed yesterday, Thursday, in Abu Dhabi.

According to a recent announcement by the EOEF, the TPAS was signed by the Director of the Directorate of International Relations of the EOEF, Lt. Col. Dimitris Panagidis and the head of the Department of European Cooperation of the ED of the UAE, Colonel Nasser Mahdi Al Alhbabi.

“The actions included in the program concern, among other things, the conduct of joint exercises, trainings and the exchange of best practices and expertise on specialized issues” it states.

“The PDAS is part of the wide network of bilateral and multilateral actions developed by the National Guard through which the commitment and will to upgrade and strengthen the wider international cooperation with friendly countries is expressed, as it has been recognized that modern challenges and threats are common and cross-border and therefore their management and response it presupposes multilateral and multifaceted action” concludes the announcement.
