The Police arrested a 20-year-old person yesterday, as part of an investigation into a case involving transportation and possession of explosives and carrying an offensive weapon.
Specifically, against the 20-year-old, who was arrested by virtue of a court warrant, there was testimony that he was involved in throwing fireworks, before the start of the football match, between teams Paphos FC – APOEL, which was held yesterday in Paphos.
The 20-year-old was presented today before the District Court of Paphos, where a case was registered against him, which was set for 02/01/2024.
At the same time, the Court ordered the 20-year-old to post a bond of 1,500 euros, while issuing a decree prohibiting him from entering sports venues, until the trial of the case.
