Cyprus celebrates March 25 with Doxologies and parades

Cyprus is celebrating the anniversary of March 25 with all its splendor again this year with Doxologies in all the cities, parades and other events.

At 10 in the morning we will a Solemn Doxology was held in the Holy Church of Panagia Faneromeni in Nicosia, presided over by the Archbishop of Cyprus, Georgios, in the presence of the President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulidis, the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Athena Michaelidou, the Speaker of the Parliament Annita Dimitriou and the Ambassador of Greece Ioannis Papamelitou. Archbishop George will deliver the day's eulogy.

At 11, the President of the Republic, accompanied by Ministers, the President of the House of Representatives, Annita Dmitriou, and the Ambassador of Greece, Ioannis Papameletiou, will receive the salute of the parade, from platform in front of the building of the Greek Embassy.

Veterans, students of Higher and Higher Educational Institutions, students of Secondary Education schools, scouts, unions and organizations will take part in the parade.

At 1230 the President will attend and addresses the reception of the Ambassador of Greece, at the embassy residence.

Praises and parades will also be held in the other cities.

In Limassol the Minister of Justice and Public Order Marios Hartsiotis will attend the Doxology, in the Holy Church of Agia Napa, in Larnaca the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Yannis Panagiotou, in the Holy Church of Panagia Faneromeni, in Paphos the Minister of Energy, of Commerce and Industry, Giorgos Papanastasiou, at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Theodoros, in Paralimni the Deputy Minister to the President, Irini Piki, at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios and in Poli Chrysochous the Government Representative, Konstantinos Letympiotis, at the Holy Church of Apostle Andreas.

Ministers and other officials will also attend the Doxologies and parades in municipalities and communities throughout Cyprus.
