Cyprus/Covid19: 7 deaths, 50-year-old died – 2,549 cases and 175 hospitalized

The Ministry of Health announces that today, February 16, 2022:

& # 8211; 7 deaths announced
& # 8211; They concern:
o Man, 87 years old, who died on February 14
o Woman, aged 50, who died on February 15
o Man, aged 59, who died on February 15
o Woman, aged 85, who died on February 15
o Woman , aged 92, who died on February 15
o Man, aged 63, who died on February 16
o Woman, aged 99, who died on February 16
& # 8211; Total number of deaths with a final cause of COVID-19: 798.
& # 8211; 175 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in OKYPY hospitals
& # 8211; 43 in serious condition (ICU: 1 out of ventilator/13 intubated, MAF: 29)
& # 8211; Percentage of patients without a history of vaccination: 70.86%
& # 8211; 30 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be treated by intubation due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.

Diagnostic tests:
& # 8211; A total of 97,679 diagnostic tests were performed
& # 8211; 2,549 new cases were identified (total number of cases 298,235).
& # 8211; Positiveness rate in all tests 2.61%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
& # 8211; 6,657 molecular tests were performed
& # 8211; 374 positive incidents occurred
& # 8211; Position rate 5.62%
& # 8211; Total Rapid Test:
& # 8211; 91,022 rapid antigen detection tests performed
& # 8211; There were 2,175 positive incidents
& # 8211; Position rate 2.39%

Tracking:
& # 8211; 508 molecular tests were performed and 67 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 13.19%)
& # 8211; 1,276 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 88 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 6.9%)
Private initiative:
& # 8211; 1,952 molecular tests were performed, 255 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 13.06%)
& # 8211; 43,719 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 1,230 positive cases were detected (2.81% positivity rate)

47,303 rapid antigen detection tests were performed through the programs of the Ministry of Health. 945 positive cases detected.

& # 8211; Sampling points: 24,259 rapid detection tests identified 658 positive cases (positivity rate 2.71%)

Training
& # 8211; Secondary Education: 12,923 rapid detection tests detected 104 positive cases (positivity rate 0.8%)
& # 8211; Test-to-Stay: 5,623 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 76 positive cases were detected (1.35% positivity rate)
& # 8211; Special Schools: 245 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and no positive cases were detected (0% positivity rate)
Other
& # 8211; Nursing homes: 1,155 rapid antigen detection tests performed, 17 positive cases detected (1.47% positivity rate)
& # 8211; Closed structures: 1,730 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 2 new cases were detected (positivity rate 0.12%).
& # 8211; Government Services: 92 rapid antigen detection tests performed and no positive cases detected (0% positivity rate)
