The plan to update the measures, announced today, Thursday, March 3, by the Minister of Health, Michalis Hadjipandela, has been made public. Based on this, the areas of High Risk, Medium Risk and Low Risk are determined, in relation to COVID-19 disease, and the obligation of the citizens, according to the vaccination coverage, to undergo a laboratory examination, before visiting them.

HIGH DANGER

Entertainment centers, music and dance centers serving 150 people and over (1 person per 1.5 sq.m.)

Catering facilities (restaurants, taverns, bars, pubs, banquets) serving 150 people and over with a dance floor

(1 person per 1.5 sq.m.)

· Holding events, including weddings and christenings in restaurants and events that serve 150 people and over (1 person per 1.5 sq.m.)

· Visits to nursing homes, closed structures, hospitals if the address of the center allows it

MEDIUM DANGER:

· Entertainment centers, music and dance centers that serve less than 150 people (1 person per 1.5 sq.m.)

Dining areas (restaurants, taverns, bars, pubs, banquet halls) that serve 150 people or more without a dance floor, or serve less than 150 people with a dance floor (1 person per 1.5 sq.m.)

· Conduct events, including weddings and christenings in restaurants serving less than 150 people (1 person per 1.5 m2)

· Hotels, tourist accommodation

· Stadiums (70% capacity)

· Places of worship (70% capacity)

· Gyms (1 person per 3 m2)

· Casino (70% capacity)

Important Clarifications :

  • People who for medical reasons can not be vaccinated medical certificate issued by the Ministry of Health, the obligation concerns Rapid or PCR test of 72 hours.
  • SafePass is required in places where more than 25 people gather, ie areas over 100 sq.m. .
  • The examination of persons with a valid vaccination or disease certificate in high-risk areas, will be done as follows : a) the vaccination or disease certificate will be checked through the application CovScan Cyprus and b) then the negative test (Rapid or PCR) will be presented in printed form or in writing message ma.
