The importance of accelerating the implementation of joint projects both bilaterally and in the framework of the Tripartite Cooperation Mechanism with Greece, in implementation of decisions of the tripartite summit held in Nicosia in October 2020, contributing to the further strengthening of cooperation relations between the three countries in various fields of political and economic cooperation, pointed out the Foreign Ministers of Cyprus and Greece, according to an announcement by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting of the Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulidis with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Soukri, took place today in Athens.
The spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Ahmed Hafez, in his written statement, stressed that the two Foreign Ministers stressed the importance of accelerating the implementation of joint projects both bilaterally and within the framework of the Tripartite Cooperation Mechanism with Greece. held in Nicosia in October 2020, contributing to the further strengthening of cooperation relations between the three countries in various areas of political and economic cooperation.
In the announcement, the Egyptian Foreign Minister talks about the excellent and long-standing relations between the two states and their coordination on regional issues.
At the same time, according to the announcement, the two Ministers expressed their satisfaction for the rapid ratification of the Middle East Gas Forum.
Finally, it is reported that Mr. Sameh Soukri thanked the Republic of Cyprus for its support in strengthening Egypt's relations with the European Union.
