The first Cyprus Forum for local government, the Cyprus Forum Cities, takes place on 7-8 April 2023, in Limassol, in an effort to formulate a long-term sustainable plan for the development of the cities and communities of Cyprus.

Through a holistic approach to the challenges facing local government, Cyprus Forum Cities will accumulate a diverse European and Cypriot expertise in areas such as sustainable development of local government, circular economy, sustainable mobility, energy and environment, sustainable tourism, shipping and strong>blue growth.

In the framework of the Conference, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidis, the President of the House of Representatives, Annita Dimitriou, the President of the Union of Municipalities of Cyprus, Andreas Vyras and the Vice President of the Union of Cyprus Communities, Lefteris Periklis have been invited to outline the institutional designfor the sustainable development of local government in Cyprus.
