Readiness of the Republic of Cyprus to send aid to Greece – The fire rages out of control in Varnavas Attica – Hartsiotis instructions
The Cyprus Democracy is ready to provide assistance > for the large and dangerous, as described, fire raging in Barnavas Attica, in the Municipality of Marathon.

According to an announcement by the Fire Department, the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Marios Hartsiotis is in constant communication with the Chief Fire Officer, Mr. Nikos Longinos.
At the same time, the Chief Fire Officer maintains contact with the Chief of the Fire Brigade of Greece Lt. General Theodoros Vaya expressing the readiness of the Republic of Cyprus and according to extension of the Fire Service to support firefighting in the fires raging in Greece.
It is recalled that the fire is raging on two fronts. Specifically, one front is moving towards Mikrochori and the other towards Marathona lake.
The message “112” is constantly ringing for an order evacuation of citizens from the surrounding areas. The situation is characterized as dangerous and difficult as strong winds are blowing which are not expected to stop completely while at the same time the flying vehicles stop dropping as darkness has fallen.
