Cyprus raised 1 billion with a 10-year sustainability bond

Sustainability bond yield set at 4.20%

Cyprus raised 1 billion euros through a 10-year sustainable bond. The bond that was issued for the first time in its history had a great impact and exceeded the demand 12.5 times (12.5 billion Euro).

The yield of the sustainability bond was 4.20%.< /p>

Aim, to finance a pre-defined range of “green” and social projects. With this, Cyprus opened the window of access to additional sources of financing beyond the traditional ones.

The Republic of Cyprus with a credit rating of BBB/stable (Standard & Poor's), Ba1/positive (Moody's), BBB- /stable (Fitch) and BBB/stable (DBRS) mandated investment banks to execute the sustainability bond issue.
