The additions of countries to the green list of the British government are limited, after the new evaluation of the epidemiological data, with Cyprus remaining in the orange category.
Of the European territories, only Malta, the Portuguese island of Madeira and the Spanish Balearic Islands are added to the list. All other European destinations, except Iceland, Gibraltar and the Faroe Islands, which were already “green” destinations, remain on the orange list.
This means that arrivals on British soil from countries such as Cyprus and Greece will have to stay at home in isolation for ten days.
The 11 countries and territories on the green list so far also include mainly Caribbean island states. Add-ons are Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, British Antarctic, British Virgin Islands, Montserrat & Montserrat Island and Montserrat
Eritrea, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Mongolia, Tunisia and Uganda are added to the red list of quarantined hotel arrivals. It is reminded that Turkey is also on the red list.
The new lists will take effect in the early hours of next Wednesday, June 30.
